Frequently Asked Questions

Q: How do I schedule an appointment?

You can schedule a free 15-minute consultation by filling out the contact form here.  During this call, we’ll talk through your needs and decide if I’m the right fit for you or your needs.

Q: What types of sessions do you offer?

I offer in-person sessions at my Gilmer, TX office and secure telehealth sessions for clients anywhere in Texas.

Q: What ages do you work with?

I work with children, teens, and adults. My background as a school counselor gives me a strong understanding of child and adolescent development, emotional regulation, and family dynamics.

Q: What happens in the first session?

The first session (intake) is where I gather information about your background, history, and goals for counseling. For children, I meet with parents and the child together briefly, then spend time with the child individually.

Q: How often will we meet?

Most clients start with weekly sessions to build momentum. As progress is made, we may shift to every other week or monthly check-ins.

Q: How long is each session?

Individual sessions are typically 50 minutes. The initial intake session may last up to 60 minutes.

Q: What are your rates?

  • Initial Intake Session  – $100
  • Individual Session  - $75

Q: What does it mean that you’re currently an LPC-Associate?

As an LPC-Associate(LPC-A), I’ve completed all education and testing requirements and am fully trained to provide counseling services. I’m in the final stage of my licensure, which involves working under the guidance of a licensed supervisor for 3,000 clinical hours.  Clients often appreciate knowing that a second professional is available for consultation and support as I continue growing in the field.

Q: Do you take insurance?

At this time, I am self-pay only. However, I can provide a superbill that you may submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

Q: How do I pay?

Payment is due at the time of service and can be made by card, HSA/FSA, or online through my client portal.
